When we launched our VPS services, we started with blocking Port 25 on our core router, and only unblocking if a customer requested it.
It initially worked very well, until our massive influx of customers starting in August. From there, we needed to do network maintenance to improve network performance.
With this came the temporary lifting of our Port 25 block.
However, one Brazilian customer has abused this policy by signing up for multiple Ryzen VPS S plans under different Gmail addresses to send spam email and UCE. Their services have been terminated without any refunds.
For new customers, and existing customers adding new services, we have a new policy on Port 25:
- By default, Port 25 is blocked.
- Port 25 can be unblocked for individual customers by opening a ticket with a valid identification, such as a driver’s license, voter registration documents, utility/telecom bill, or a redacted credit card/bank statement.
- Port 25 can be unblocked for corporate or nonprofit customers by opening a ticket with valid corporate registration information or links.
- If you wish to run a public proxy or VPN, or Tor exit relay on a VPS with unblocked Port 25 created after September 11, 2026, we require that you open a ticket to reblock Port 25. This is not required for private VPN, proxy, or Tor non-exit and bridge relays.
- If you repeatedly send spam or UCE on your VPS, if it was deliberate, the VPS will be terminated without refunds.
We are instating this policy to keep our users safe and network free of abuse.
However, unlike the earlier Port 25 filter, this filter is done on the Virtualizor level. This is since our revenues have substantially increased since we started offering VPS services in May 2025, so we migrated to Virtualizor Pro.
